We also are able to carefully re-harden, re-polish, and re-balance each component so that they meet standardized O.E.M criteria through our several years of dedicated experience to utilize technical data to efficiently reverse engineer any gearboxes where our customers are unsure of the appropriate details or components.

In exceptional circumstances where our client does not have direct knowledge of or access to the technical data relating to the gearbox requiring our rebuilding services, we are able to implement the previously mentioned reverse engineering technology that sets our business apart. Through careful analysis and measurements, our specialist team are able to replicate previous parts and ensure that they abide by O.E.M standards so that they can begin to rebuild these required pieces to use them as a means of restructuring the gearbox, to prevent any further issues and sustain its efficiency. This “copying” process is a fantastically innovative process that helps benefit your gearbox project and maximize the final product.

Following the arrival of any gearbox, one of our trained specialists carefully cleans and inspects the inner workings through the efficient removal of dirt, grease, and grime to gain a comprehensive insight into the current inner workings to help effectively diagnose the issue following a failure analysis.

The failure analysis starts with a thorough tooth clearance and ratio size analysis which helps our specialists gain an insight into the technical data of the gearbox so that we can gather this to ensure that each piece we rebuild is in accordance with O.E.M specifications. We can then provide our clients with a series of options in terms of upgrade and replacement options with a comprehensive optional supply of manufacturer drawings that further detail the gearbox problems. Through our extensive inspections, we are able to effectively reverse engineer any required pieces.

Our expert technicians are then able to accurately diagnose the status of your gearbox system and embark on rebuilding them back to their origins size and the maximum expected performance levels. Our workmanship here at First Choice Machine is what we pride ourselves upon, as due to our excellent team who have extensive experience within this industry are able to provide advanced processes including the grinding/polishing or parts, O.D.I.D surface grinding and blanching, and state of the art welding which ranges from metallic surfaces such as Chromoly and titanium to brass and tungsten – there are very few metals we cannot weld within our exceptional facilities. We also have a range of welding types such as continuous rotating welds and arc welds, using a range of heat-treated hardening and carbonizing processes to ensure that your finished product is of an expected standard.
